Full Biography
Mrs. Nataliya Katser-Buchkovska has more than 15 years of professional experience in corporate finance, investments, and energy. In 2014-2019, she served as a Member of the Ukrainian Parliament, leading the Subcommittee on Sustainable Development. Currently, Nataliya works as an Energy and Investment Advisor at Ukrainian Institute for the Future, leading the think-tank, developing strategic solutions for Ukrainian policy’s development.
During her time in office, the Ukrainian Parliament ratified the Paris Climate Agreement, joined IRENA, and reshaped gas, electricity, and renewables markets. Mrs. Katser-Buchkovska has also worked on the country’s energy resilience plan.
She also holds an Executive Education in Public Policy degree from Harvard Kennedy School, an LLM in Law and Economics from the University College, London and a B.A. in Law from Ivan Franko Lviv National University. Mrs. Katser-Buchkovska was awarded to be the Atlantic Council Millennium Fellow in 2019.
Mrs. Katser-Buchkovska is an internationally-recognized speaker and author on geopolitics and energy security. Having spoken at Bloomberg NEF, CWC World LNG Summit, UN and WEF events, published her op-eds in the Financial Times, and being quoted by CNN, BBC, and Bloomberg, she truly embodies Ukraine’s voice in global energy affairs.
