Marta Vrbetic

Dr. Vrbetic was a Global Fellow from January 2016 to December 2022. She holds a Ph.D. in international relations from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University, and an M.A. in European Studies from the College of Europe, Bruges, Belgium. She was formerly Assistant Professor of Government at Gallaudet University, Washington, D.C., where she taught courses on Europe, European Union, American foreign policy, ethics of peacemaking and conflict resolution, democratization, nationalism, and ethnic conflict. Dr. Vrbetic has held appointments in Europe and the United States, and she also worked at the Institute for Development and International Relations of Zagreb, Croatia. She is the author of several peer-reviewed and professional articles, and has presented, among others, at the annual meetings of the International Studies Association and the American Political Science Association.
